FFB Notebook: QB Rankings (6/3)

OTA's are wrapping up and fantasy football season is right around the corner. I'll be ranking players position by position in the next couple of weeks and I'll update them as the season goes on.

Today I'll be ranking the top signal callers that you should target on draft day. There is a lot of potential this year at the position, but only two sure things at the position. If you miss out on the top two quarterbacks early, I'd recommend focusing on other positions until the middle rounds of your draft. You'll be able to get the same amount of production out of some of the lesser known QB's while also being able to pick up more quality skill players with your early picks.

Here are my top 20 quarterbacks heading into training camp:

1. Aaron Rodgers - Arguably the best QB in the league, Rodgers is the closest to a sure thing that you can get in fantasy land. At age 28, he's only going to get better over the next 4 or five years.

2. Tom Brady - Even at 34, Brady still holds it down as one of the best QB's in the game today. He currently has an overloaded receiving corp, and have you ever heard of Rob Gronkowski? The man is the closest we will ever get to actually seeing the Incredible Hulk in person.

3. Cam Newton - I was THIS close to putting "Super Cam" ahead of Tom Brady. He's THAT good. I am a little worried about him getting hurt, but just look at tape from last year and tell me he's not the best young QB in a long time? Another reason to consider Newton in front of Brady is the lack of weaponry he posses. That just means more yards and touchdowns on the ground for him.

4. Matt Ryan - This is finally the year for "Matty Ice" to get over the hump. That's right, I'm saying it right now that The Falcons are in the Super Bowl conversation. This will be the year where it all comes together.

5. Drew Brees - Normally, I'd have Brees ahead of everyone but Rodgers, but there has been WAY too much drama surrounding the Saints and Brees himself. I still think he'll have a good year, but he'll start off slow.

Rounding out the top 20...

7. Michael Vick
8. Matthew Stafford
9. Peyton Manning
